The idea was to create luxurious at-home spa and wellness products by sourcing the best ingredients from all around the world to create a collection of true catalysts, worthy to be applied on your bodies. The entire collection was created to offer an enhanced bathing experience and a moment for yourself — making every moment more meaningful and more intentional.
Our business structure is built on slow made intimate products, made fresh, by us, every day, with soul and subtle details. We get very intimate through every step of the process, and only exceptional-quality ingredients make it into our formulas and subsequently on your bodies.
Our Products
YOUSTINA MAKSIMOUS was born from a passion for holistic wellbeing and natural skin-loving ingredients. Our approach to body care rests in a deep reverence for the ancient wisdom and multi-beneficial power of plants. In all ancient traditions worldwide, oils have been used to protect and nourish the skin for several reasons. Oils, in contrast to water, have the ability to capture and store the goodness of botanical ingredients, and that's why we opted for an oil based body care range. Oils are also rich in vitamins, fatty acids, antioxidants, and other beneficial compounds – together these nutrients increase the overall efficacy of our body care formulations and thus will always be our preferred choice.
Our Approach to Sustainability
Every product is handcrafted in our studio. We hand-blend the freshest ingredients in small batches and fill each bottle also in our studio to ensure full transparency, traceability, and accountability for all of our products.
We do not use plastic and never will. We don’t want plastic getting into our products and subsequently to your skin. Our first choice is to always use glass because it’s infinitely more recyclable and the most sustainable option available. We also believe that potent formulas need packaging that protects the ingredients and prolongs the shelf life, that’s why we opted to use Miron biophotonic dark violet glass bottles because of their distinct characteristics. Our elegant violet bottles not only look beautiful and sleek, but also fulfill a crucial function that extends beyond aesthetics to actively serve a vital purpose.
Miron violet glass functions as a natural filter, preventing the passage of visible light while permitting UV-A and infrared light to penetrate. This unique feature provides optimal protection against the degradation caused by visible light, while enhancing the stability and effectiveness of our collection without needing to rely on harmful preservatives. The tradition of valuing the protective attributes of Miron violet glass dates back to ancient Egyptian times. The Egyptians stored precious essences and healing natural products in containers made of violet glass.
And finally, our cartons are FSC Certified Paper, meaning they all come from responsible forestry that are managed in a way that protects biodiversity, supports local communities, and ensures that forest resources are sustainable.
After our sustainably packaged fresh products are prepared and ready to be delivered to you, they're carefully wrapped in fully recyclable shipping boxes. While outsourcing could reduce costs, we're committed to doing everything from the intimacy of our studio. This approach gives us control over the entire process, ensuring traceability, quality control, and maintaining a low carbon footprint.
The Meaning Behind the Name
YOUSTINA can be traced back to its roots in classical and religious contexts, especially adhering to Eastern Orthodox Christianity, and it is derived from the Latin name Justina, which itself means “just.”
MAKSIMOUS on the other side has rich origins in both Greek and Latin, meaning "the greatest" – exactly what we desire for you and your wellness.
